Windows Vista SP2 Released for Download

WindowsToday Microsoft have released Windows Vista Service Pack 2 for download. The Vista SP2 Update includes new support and technologies. One of the main features is the ability to record Blu-ray discs straight from the Vista OS. Updates have been also made to support Bluetooth v2.1 and bug fixes to address slow shutdowns and crashes.

If you want to get your hands on Vista SP2, you can download it straight from Microsoft’s website here or it will be automatically loaded on your system via Windows Update within a few weeks.

Make sure you have at least Vista SP1 installed on your system to install SP2.

  • Microsoft says SP2 will repair almost 700 Vista bugs and Security holes.
  • Supports exFAT to handle larger files, and uses UTC timestamps so you can synchronize files between different time zones.
  • Wi-Fi issues have been fixed as some people had trouble when waking Vista from sleep mode.
